Modern Application for Ancient Healing Traditions
At Golden West Wellness, our treatments honor the wisdom of ancient healing traditions while integrating state-of-the-art therapeutic technologies. Each session is thoughtfully customized to reduce pain, calm inflammation, and support the body’s natural capacity for healing and balance.
Integrative Acupuncture Therapy
Rooted in thousands of years of Chinese Medicine, acupuncture supports the body’s innate ability to heal. Fine, sterile needles are placed at precise points to regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, relieve pain, and restore energetic flow. Treatments are individualized to address both acute and chronic conditions.
Laser & Infrared Therapy (InLight Wellness System)
We enhance traditional acupuncture with state-of-the-art InLight Wellness technology, utilizing photobiomodulated light therapy to stimulate acupuncture points and affected tissues. This advanced laser and infrared system supports cellular repair by improving mitochondrial function, increasing circulation, and reducing pain and inflammation at a deep tissue level. Photobiomodulated light therapy offers a non-invasive, highly targeted approach and may be used as a standalone treatment or integrated with acupuncture and other therapeutic modalities to enhance clinical outcomes.
Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim)
When appropriate, gentle electrical stimulation is applied through acupuncture needles to deepen therapeutic effects. E-stim is especially effective for muscle tension, nerve-related pain, and areas of chronic stagnation, supporting neuromuscular re-education and relaxation.
Trigger Point Release
Targeted trigger point therapy is used to release tight, restricted muscles that contribute to pain, postural imbalance, and limited mobility.
This modality helps reduce referred pain patterns and restore healthy movement by addressing the root of muscular dysfunction.
Gua Sha Therapy (Heated & Cool)
Gua Sha is a traditional therapeutic scraping technique used to release fascial restrictions, improve circulation, and reduce pain and inflammation. At Golden West Wellness, Gua Sha may be performed using:
• Heated Gua Sha tools, applied to affected areas to deeply relax tight muscles, increase blood flow, and support tissue repair.
• Cool stone Gua Sha tools, used to calm inflammation, soothe irritated tissues, and support recovery following acute injury or flare-ups.
The approach is selected based on individual presentation and therapeutic goals.
Herbal Analgesic Applications
Topical applications of herbal analgesics are used to enhance treatment outcomes. These plant-based formulations help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and promote localized healing, working synergistically with acupuncture and manual therapies.
Tuina Medical Massage
When indicated, Tuina, a form of Chinese medical bodywork, is incorporated to further reduce pain and inflammation. This hands-on therapy uses rhythmic compression, stretching, and mobilization techniques to improve circulation, ease musculoskeletal tension, and support structural alignment.
Massage Therapy
Therapeutic massage is provided by licensed massage therapists and customized to each individual’s needs. Techniques may include deep tissue, myofascial release, and relaxation-based approaches to relieve muscle tension, support recovery, improve circulation, and promote overall well-being. Massage therapy may be received as a standalone service or integrated into a comprehensive treatment plan.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is used to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduce pain and inflammation. Using suction cups applied to targeted areas, this modality helps release deep fascial restrictions, promote lymphatic drainage, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Cupping may be incorporated into acupuncture or massage sessions when appropriate.
